Timecode Reader Heads
A timecode reader head and a mounting bracket (with hardware) are included with:• XD20
• XD10
• DTS-CSS
• DTS-6AD
• DTS-6D
• DTS-6
Two types of readers are available, 35mm and 70mm. The accompanying image is on a 70mm reader kit.
If using two projectors, a dual projector kit is required and includes an additional reader, mounting bracket, and timecode cable:
• For XD20, XD10, DTS-6D, DTS-CSS, and DTS-6 players, use the timecode "Y" cable model D435-21 (standard is 30ft/30ft, other lengths are available).
These players have one timecode connector, so the D435-21 "Y" cable is needed: 2 readers to one player.
• For DTS-6AD, use two regular timecode cables model D435-01 (standard is 30ft, other lengths are available). The DTS-6AD has two timecode connectors so two timecode cables are needed; one for each reader.
The two projector concept: Two readers to one player
• This applies to all players that have only one timecode connector: DTS-6, DTS-6D, DTS-CSS, XD10, and XD20.
• The DTS-6AD has two separate timecode connectors and does not use the "Y" cable. Instead, it uses two standard timecode cables: one per reader.
D435-21 timecode Y cable drawing, 2 readers 1 player
• Use the D435-21 Y timecode cable when connecting two readers to one player (DTS-6, DTS-6D, XD10, DTS-CSS, or XD20). These players have only one timecode connector.
Note: The D435-21 standard Y timecode cable is 30ft/30ft. Other lengths are available.
D435-01, regular timecode cable drawing, 1 reader 1 player
• Use the D435-01 regular timecode cable to connect one reader to one player: DTS-6, DTS-6D, DTS-CSS, XD10, and XD20.
• For the DTS-6AD, it has two timecode connectors so when connecting two readers (dual projector), use two D435-01 cables: one D435-01 cable per reader.
Note: The D435-01 regular timecode cable standard is 30ft. Other lengths are available.
F120 timecode adapter, 1 reader 2 players
• Use this adapter to connect one reader to two players: DTS-6, DTS-6D, DTS-CSS, XD10, and XD20.
